So for all of you interested in the pom-pom necklace tutorial, here goes....

Tutorial #1-
Materials Used:
- scrap piece of fabric {used thin polyester}
- chain {found an old beaded chain I never wear in my jewelry box}
- small pearls or beads {scrapbooking materials}
- hot glue gun/glue sticks
- scissors
- pencil
- 3 different sized round bases to trace onto fabric
Use your three different sized objects & trace numerous circles onto your fabric
To make it easier, fold your fabric in half. That way when you cut out your circles, you have two.
These are your petals. Fray the edges of each circle with you nails. Hold one side of the flower with one hand and with your thumb and forefinger of the opposite hand grip the other side tightly and drag alongside the edges. Leave four circles unfrayed for your base.
Fold the petals in half, then in half again.
Hot glue the tip of the petal and place it firmly against the center of your base holding it in place for a few seconds. For this particular flower, rather than standing it straight up, I layed it flat against the base.
Continue with the various shaped petals you cut out. I used the larger ones for the bottom layers {approximately 3-4} and the smaller ones to fill in the gaps.
Embellish the center with pearls and beads. Hot glue them in place.
Continue making 3-4 more flowers.
Next, I got my old scrap piece of fabric that I had cut the circles out on. I needed somehow to connect all four flowers. So, I cut about a 1/2 inch strip and hot glued my flowers down onto it.
Now all you have to do is attach your chain.
Luckily my chain was broken in half so I didn't have to cut it.
I hot glued one end to the backside like so. And did the same for the other end.
One suggestion, I hot glued my ends horizontally. I would suggest hot gluing them vertically instead! Therefore the necklace won't bunch up and want to fold over.
Tutorial #2
Materials Used:
- Satin Fabric {$0.98/foot at Hobby Lobby}
- Felt {4/$1 at Hobby Lobby}
- Chain necklace {60 inch/$2.99 @ HL}
- Necklace clasps {optional- $1.47 @ HL}
- Hot glue gun/glue sticks
- Scissors
- Pencil
- 3 objects to trace circles
Fold your fabric in half & trace several sized circles. Cut out all circles.
Cut out four small-medium sized circles from your felt. These will be your bases for the petals.
I didn't fray the edges on the satin fabric, but you can if you'd like.
Next choose a circle, fold it in half, then in half again.
Hot glue it onto the center of the base allowing it to stand up.
Continue adding more and more petals making sure you glue them each down at different angles.
Turn the flower over and trim away any excess felt that can be seen.
Continue this same process until you finish 4 flowers total {or however many you want}.
Now, get your leftover piece of felt fabric.
Layout your flowers the way you want them to look on your necklace.
Start at one end and pick up the flower, hot glue, and place firmly back down on the felt. Make sure that your bases are touching when gluing down or the flowers will want to flip over while wearing.
Now trim away the excess felt until it looks like this.
For the chains purchased at a craft store, more than likely, you will have to cut it in half. I placed it around my neck, pinched both sides where I wanted the flowers to start and snip the chain links into.
Hot glue each end like so. Make certain to glue one end in a vertical angle rather than both horizontal or your necklace will bunch up while wearing (speaking from experience).
