do-it-yourself pumpkin!

I love everything about fall,

especially pumpkins!

Since our home is a tad bit bare due to the remodeling (and lack of excess funds to spare on frivolous items), I've came across a SUPER easy, quick, and cute handmade pumpkin craft to spruce up the home decor!

Materials needed:

  • Fabric of choice cut in a 22inch square
or
  • A sheet of tissue paper
  • Raffia
  • Wine cork or stick
  • Toilet paper roll
  • Scissors

***********************************

Here's what you do:

{1} Place the toilet paper on the center of your fabric or tissue paper (pictured)

{2} Begin by grabbing the edges and tucking them into the center of the roll and continue until tucked all the way around. You may need to press down on the top of the roll (after wrapping) in order to mold it into a more rounded shape.

{3} Insert a wine cork (pictured), a stick, or fold up a piece of tissue paper and stick into the middle for a stem. If using fabric, the wine cork and stick will secure the fabric from popping out the center of the roll.

{4} Add a bit of raffia to spice it up a bit! And ta-da, you have a pumpkin!
